EL PASO BOOK LAUNCH OF 21 PLAYS FOR THE 21ST CENTURY

Marfa Live Arts and Marfa High School playwrights went to El Paso for the exciting launch of their new book 21 Short Plays for the 21st Century. For the past nine years Marfa Live Arts has taught the Playwriting Program at Marfa High School. Tapping into student’s stories and culture over 775 one-act plays have been written. 

​

This book contains 21 award-winning plays written by these exceptional students. The Marfa Shorthorns in this collection are Febi Brimhall, Georgina Brugette, Adrian Cataño, Odalys Chacon, Tais Chanez, Ana Guerra, Elena Hernandez, Alyanna Hernandez, Levi Hinojos, Shelby Laviers, Luis Lozano, Brooks Marginot, Ian Marquez, Juan Martinez, Isabella Morales, Eduardo Ocon, Cristian Ontiveros, Yessenia Sanchez Duran, Uriel Torres, Andrea Torres, and Ruben D. Watts-Ortiz.

El Paso actors including Camilla Carr brought these excerpts of these powerful works to life during a short performance.
