On Thursday, April 6th we hosted an intimate screening at The Lumberyard’s Adobe Room of Sad Vacation— an up close and personal account of the tumultuous and stormy relationship between Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen and how it ended in Room 100 of the Chelsea Hotel. This 2016 documentary features writer and actor Ned Van Zandt, who knew the famous duo and contributed to the storyline of their lives. Van Zandt will be on-hand to introduce the film. Join us the following Saturday, April 8th for a night of cabaret theater at the Capri where he will perform Del Valle. (The show has adult themes and language, mature audience recommended.)
Directed by Danny Garcia this films holds no punches and reveals the facts through personal friends, insiders and witnesses providing a first hand account of Sid and Nancy's mysterious deaths. Includes interviews with Sylvain Sylvain (New York Dolls), Bob Gruen, Walter Lure (The Heartbreakers), Leee Black Childers, Howie Pyro (D Generation), Kenny Gordon (Pure Hell), Cynthia Ross (The B- Girls) and many more.

ARTIST BIOS:
Danny Garcia is a Spanish director, producer and writer, known for 6 Bullets to Hell (2014), The Rise and Fall of The Clash (2012), Looking for Johnny (2014) and Sad Vacation (2016).
Ned Van Zandt is an actor and writer originally from Texas. His great grandfather was one of the founders of the city of Fort Worth. His second cousin was singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt. He has appeared in films, television, and on Broadway ("The Iceman Cometh" with Kevin Spacey). His first job in Hollywood was playing a teenage alcoholic on "The Young in the Restless." His first film role was playing a soldier in a scene with Gregory Peck in "MacArthur." (He also played a soldier in Hal Ashby's "Coming Home" with Jane Fonda). Recent work includes guest star appearances on "The Blacklist," HBO's "All The Way," "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt," "Hawaii Five 0," "Person of Interest," "Nurse Jackie" and "Lost." He appears as himself in two documentaries- "Sad Vacation" and "Who Killed Nancy?" about his life at the Chelsea Hotel with Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungon. His first play "Del Valle" is about that time and much more.
